Karla is a compassionate, client-centered therapist dedicated to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals can explore their emotions and life experiences. As a first-generation immigrant, Karla is especially passionate about supporting the Latino/Hispanic and immigrant communities, and brings cultural awareness and sensitivity into her work. She is LGBTQ+ affirming, neurodivergent-friendly, and committed to anti-racist, inclusive care.

Karla earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Florida International University where she also earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Education. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across school, medical, and telehealth settings, supporting clients with anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, and behavioral challenges.

Her approach is collaborative and strengths-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to create individualized, goal-oriented care. Karla views therapy as a collaborative journey – one where healing, growth, and self-understanding are possible when clients are met with compassion, respect, and genuine support.

Karla is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI) in Florida and offers services in both English and Spanish.
