Kirsten (Kyra) is a strengths-based and neurodivergent-affirming counselor who takes pride in assisting clients through difficult life transitions, processing trauma, and learning new skills to empower them in all areas of their life. She understands that clients can sometimes find it difficult to express themselves in words, and her expertise in play therapy techniques gives them the ability to express themselves and develop insight through the mediums of art, music, puppetry, and games.

Kyra realized at a young age that she wanted to become a therapist, a drive that led her to earn her Master of Arts in Counselor Education from the University of Central Florida. After graduate school, Kyra worked at a nonprofit agency conducting individual, family, and group therapy for children and adults. During this time, Kyra refined her areas of focus to include neurodivergence, autism, chronic illness, disability, perfectionism, complex trauma, and identity.

Her holistic approach to therapy means that each person is given individualized services that consider their values, identity, and goals. In addition to her formal training in Adlerian Play Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) and Familial Encouraging connection Therapy (FECT), Kyra incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, (DBT), and solution-focused techniques.
